Experience Optimum Health through “Lifestyle Changes”

Time for a – TIME OUT!

At some point in each of our lives, something will happen that will truly rock our world. Over the past few weeks, I have had one of these life changing situations happen to me. On October 8th. my mother, Sarah A.Crider, who had been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s passed away at my home in Florida. Mother was 87 years old and willingly and knowingly left on her great adventure.

One of the first things I learned growing up, was that “people are more important than things.” I believe that dealing with real life issues and having a healthy closure is important to our good health and future happiness. Taking a “time out” is free and the perfect life tool that can help us heal and deal with our losses. It works for all types of loss whether it be through divorce, a job, friendship or the loss of a loved one through death. We each have our own way of coping with things that threaten our comfort, health or well being, but a “Time Out” is the one thing that can help us put it all into the proper perspective, allowing us to move through the pain and disappointments that are a part of life.

Today, I am taking a “Time Out” – to take this opportunity to share with you and to honor my mother…

Sarah A, Crider with a quote by Kate Douglas Wiggin.

“Most of all the other beautiful things in life come by twos and threes, by dozens and hundreds. Plenty of roses, stars, sunsets, rainbows, brothers and sisters, aunts and cousins, comrades and friends – but only one mother in the whole world.”

  1. And caring for your mother was among the beautiful things in the world. Nothing is harder than watching a loved one go through all the changes that happen before passing away. God be with you.
