Breakfast: The Best Way to Start the Day

Breakfast is your most important meal of the day. It helps to set the
tone for the whole day, and provides the necessary energy to help you sail through the morning. energized and feeling great. My favorite breakfast, is oatmeal and banana with low fat milk, scrambled egg on arugula leaves and a cup of hot green tea.

Those who eat breakfast, tend to be able to concentrate and maintain their energy levels, better than those individuals who skip breakfast. Research shows, that children do better in school when they eat a good breakfast. Actually, this is one of the reasons for the free lunch programs. When we look at this same research, with the adult in mind, it is easy to see that when we eat a nutritious breakfast, we are functioning at higher levels mentally, physically and emotionally.

Dr Weil, says that we should have a bit of protein for breakfast. In one of his books, he suggests a piece of fish or chicken as an excellent source of protein for breakfast. It is a great way to use left over fish, chicken, pork chops, etc. Just add them to eggs
and create a new recipe.

If you want to keep your body fully functioning, at its highest capacity, and maintain a clear head through out the day, make sure you never ever skip breakfast. Research also shows, that people who eat breakfast, seem to be able to control their weight, and tend to be slimmer than those who skip breakfast. Make eating a good healthy breakfast a priority.
