Experience Optimum Health through “Lifestyle Changes”

How is your health?

When someone asks you “how is your health ” what do you say? Do you politely say I feel fine or do you give it some thought?  Our health is our greatest asset and without it there is not much we can do.

According to the National Center for Health Statistics more than 66% of people in the US over the age of 20 are overweight and 29% of people over 20 have high blood pressure. Yet, only 30% of adults engage in regular leisure-time physical activity with 31% of Americans still smoking in (2005) and 20% of adults had 5 or more drinks in a day the past year.  Research indicates that moderate exercise can strengthen the heart and help lower blood pressure as well.

Yet many people who know these statistics and with full intentions to make lifestyle changes often never get around to actually doing it.  This is one of the reasons health coaches are becoming popular.

A coach can help you set and maintain goals for a healthier lifestyle.  I am writing a book on health…mainly it is about ways to improve your health naturally.  I want to be able to use ideas and info that would be usefull in todays world.  I invite you to share some of your health goals /challenges.  What do you think is the number one obstacle between most people and good health?

  1. Very interesting Bobbi! I think that a big challenge for people with regards to their health is time management. Our days are so busy and it is easy to sacrifice good eating habits and exercise. I would like to know more about your book.
    Thanks! Terra

  2. Thank you for asking Terra. My book is titled “Managing Stress Naturally” and it is a guide for recognizing, dealing with and learning to manage every day stress…and to do it using natural methods.

The book is now in the late stages of completion. I hope to have it published before the end of this year. 2008!

  3. Gee Bobbi thanks so much for the great night time tips! I’m definetly going to try the hot water with honey and establishing a set bedtime. I also liked the advice about being selective about what one watches on tv prior to bed.
